Angel Support Living (UK) Limited provides personal support and accommodation for adults over the age of 18 who have personal or developmental challenges that may prevent them from living completely independently. Our highly-trained staff are available 24 hours per day to help our clients with day to day tasks and more long-term goals, based on their Person-Centred Plan.

Our clients include people with:

• Mental health issues
• Learning disabilities
• Traumatic brain injuries
• Physical disabilities
• Multiple diagnoses
• Early dementia
• Challenging behaviour
• A history of substance abuse, including alcoholism

Our support helps maximise independence and live a successful life, allowing each client to define what success is to them.

Direct Payments come from your local council, and are offered to people who have been assessed and require support from social services, but would prefer to arrange and pay for their own care rather than receiving them from the local council. You must be able to give consent to receive direct payments and be able to management them even if you need help in day to day life.

Once your assessment has been completed, the council will set an amount that they consider reasonable to meet your day to day needs – this is called a personal budget. You can take some or your entire personal budget as a direct payment.

As part of your budget, you can make arrangements to pay your care provider directly. In some cases, you may not be able to receive direct payments, particularly if you are receiving treatment for mental health, alcohol, or substance misuse or are still under assessment and/or treatment orders. People who are subject to certain criminal justice orders will also not be able to receive direct payments.

If you have any questions about how your direct payments and personalised budget are awarded, how they are used, and how much your assessed needs cost, we can help. If you do not manage your own payments, there may be an authority of brokerage organisation that is responsible for doing that for you. Whatever your situation, we will always work to reduce the stress of managing your own care and we will work with you to make sure that everything is properly organised and managed.

Angel Support Living (UK) Limited is fully qualified and insured in line with government standards. We can visit you at home or at a place of your choosing to go through your care options in detail and work out the best arrangement for you going forwards.

Our staff are available to help with day to day tasks, including:

• Budgeting
• Filling in forms
• Paying bills
• Finding places to live (if you’re moving onto completely independent accommodation)
• Managing medication
• Cooking and meal planning
• Shopping
• Personal care
• Health visits
• Activities outside the home
• Planning trips and days out

We provide as much or as little support as necessary for each of our clients, depending on their goals and how many of the skills they have already mastered. All of our support is tailored towards the individual and their Person -Centred Plan, which outlines what they would like to achieve with Angel Supported Living and their own needs.
